These Terms govern your use of the HelmistAI desktop application, website, and related services (the "Service"), provided by HelmistAI ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you're authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Knowledge packs, transcripts, session history, and files you create are your content. We claim no ownership. You grant us only the limited, temporary right to process content as needed to deliver the feature you invoked (e.g., sending a question and relevant context to the AI model to produce an answer). Local content is encrypted on your device; we cannot read it.
You agree not to:
Answers are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You're responsible for verifying anything important before relying on it. You own the answers you generate for your lawful use, to the extent such ownership is possible under applicable law.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the HelmistAI application on devices you control, for the plan you purchased. The software is licensed, not sold.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data stays on your device, what is processed, and your rights. It's part of these Terms.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice (30 days for paid plans, with pro-rata refund of the unused period). Sections 3, 4, 6, 9–12 survive termination.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HelmistAI's total liability arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost opportunities, data loss on your device (which you can back up), or outcomes of decisions made using AI-generated content.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect for paid plans. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
